Municipal Well & Pump is a leading Midwestern contractor specializing in municipal and industrial water systems. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Assistant Pump Installers, helping install and maintain the critical water infrastructure that communities depend on every day.

No prior well drilling or pump installation experience is required. We are looking for dependable, mechanically inclined individuals who are willing to learn, work hard, and grow with our company.

Compensation & Earnings

Starting Pay

• $24.25 per hour – No experience required, no CDL
• $26.50 per hour – CDL holders or candidates with relevant experience

Typical First-Year Earnings

Most new Assistant Pump Installers earn $80,000–$90,000+ in the first year, including:

• Overtime opportunities
• Prevailing wage projects
• Year-end bonus programs

What You’ll Do

As an Assistant Pump Installer, you will work alongside experienced crews installing, servicing, and rehabilitating municipal and industrial water systems throughout the Midwest.

Responsibilities include:

• Installing and servicing large municipal water pumps
• Assisting with water well rehabilitation projects
• Supporting drilling and well construction operations
• Operating tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Working as part of a professional field crew
• Traveling to project sites throughout the Midwest

Travel & Work Schedule

• Travel throughout the Midwest during the work week
• Weekends are generally home unless emergency work is required
• Paid travel time
• Company-paid hotel accommodations
• Individual hotel rooms provided (no room sharing)
• Daily meal per diem while traveling
• Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to travel throughout the Midwest during the work week
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
