Assuring a reliable water resource is an ongoing effort. Well and pump hydraulic characteristics should be continuously monitored. Municipal Well & Pump’s preventative maintenance program documents well performance while assuring proper operation of well equipment and monitoring controls.
All MWP services are performed and overseen by a certified operator as required by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
A typical well and pump maintenance would include the following as they apply to your system:
I. Collection and submittal of water sample for bacteria analysis.
II. Operation Check of:
Each well pump
Each Booster Pump
Air charge system
Float control system
Electrical controls
Static water level
Pumping water level
Amperage draw and voltage check of submersible motors
Air to water balance in elevated tank and reservoir
Heating and ventilating system
Air release and vacuum breakers
Inspection of lighting system
Inspection of general building structure
Adjustment of packing glands
Greasing of packing glands
Insulation check on electrical cable for submersible pumps
Resistance check on submersible motor windings
If allowable, valves in pump-station are worked, ie: opened and closed to ensure proper operation in the event they may be needed
