The project began drilling in January 2021 as a shallow municipal well, constructed with 18-inch casing and a screened interval from 175 to 230
feet. Designed for high-capacity production, the well is capable of delivering over 2,000 gallons per minute to support the City’s water system. Following completion, the well remained idle for around 2 years while a new wellhouse and treatment facility were constructed in 2024. Final system components, including the well pump and dual booster pumps, were installed in September 2025, and the well was successfully placed into service
in March 2026.
