Since 1981, we, Jim Sass and Terry Nauman, have successfully operated Peerless Service Company in Dubuque, Iowa. We worked hard to build up our company by providing excellent service to our clients and professional respect to all vendors and employees.
As both of us near retirement, we did not want the hard work of building a reputable company to just fade away. We wanted all the efforts to continue on into the future.
As a result, over the past 6 or more years we have strategized on how best to transfer our company to a set of owners that hold the same values and ethics we built our company upon. We believe we found the perfect company to keep the Peerless name and reputation alive.
As of April 14, 2016, Peerless Service Company was purchased by Midwest Well Services, Inc., dba: Municipal Well and Pump. Peerless will be run as a separate subsidiary of Midwest Well Services, Inc. and will continue to run out of the Dubuque, IA location. Our company name is changing slightly to Peerless Well & Pump, Inc.
Municipal Well & Pump is a well-established and respected water systems contractor that performs work throughout the Midwest. They are located in Waupun, WI and also have a sales office in Illinois. As for our individual plans:
Jim Sass will be retiring by the end of May and will devote more time to charities, nonprofits, and church activities along with fishing, and traveling with his wife Diane. Jim’s accounts will be handed off to Jason Barnum, a Senior Project Engineer with Municipal Well & Pump.
Terry Nauman will be staying on board with Peerless for at least another 2 to 3 years. He will be the Operations Manager overseeing the entire operation and will also continue managing all the client accounts he has serviced in the past.
